On Thursday, the 19th of April, Bata celebrated the fact that it has been active in the Netherlands for 85 years. In honour of this momentous occasion, Bata Industrials' headquarters in Best was transformed into a real party location, where, together with the many invited guests, management and staff celebrated the anniversary in style during a smashing happening while also showing their appreciation for the customers’ steadfast confidence in the Bata organisation. Given the many enthusiastic responses, the anniversary celebration was highly successful in this regard.

Among the guests were a large number of distributors, coming from countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Iceland, Canada and China. In addition, many suppliers and other external business associates accepted the invitation and put in an appearance. As a result, Bata Industrials’ headquarters was filled with an international and extremely mixed company, and this group enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere to the fullest, along with everything else to be experienced during this festive occasion.

   

Immediately upon their arrival, the guests were treated to a trip through time. The birth and development of the Bata organisation up to the present was revealed in the form of a beautiful film presentation. By following the route through the old factory, the guests then witnessed a demonstration performed by traditional cobblers. This demonstration was also characterised by a degree of nostalgia as the cobblers brought the craft back to life in all its glory. The guests were then taken on an interesting tour through the shoe and sock factory. An ’excursion’ during which various Bata Industrials’ employees provided the guests with a clear explanation of the production process.

After that, it was finally time for the real party. While enjoying delightful food and beverages in a pleasant atmosphere, the group was treated to various performances which only served to increase the festive mood. The acoustic dance revolution Dansman 3 put on a beautiful musical performance and the internationally renowned mouth and voice artist, Niek Boes, thrilled the audience with his fascinating noise impersonations including that of a Boeing 778, a production robot and a roaring Ferrari.
