Some companies have to deal with the phenomenon of Electro Static Discharge. Also known as ESD, this phenomenon can lead to major expenses for businesses. Some examples include costs associated with the breakdown of and/or damage to products. Or even higher service fees resulting from repairs and/or replacement. Even the reliability of products can be adversely affected by the occurrence of ESD. In order to prevent or at least limit electrostatic charging, and to ensure that any charges generated are diverted in a controlled manner, Bata Industrials has designed several models of safety shoes in an ESD version.

A collection that only contained five models until recently, has now been expanded with the addition of ten new models with similar features. This expansion allows Bata Industrials to offer every wearer a ready-made and most of all relaxing solution for nearly every type of work environment in which ESD can occur.

An ESD shoe for everyone
In combination with the socks also available in an ESD version, the ESD safety shoes from Bata Industrials also represent a well-thought out means of protection from electrostatic discharge. These shoes fully satisfy the currently valid norms (0.1-35 MOhm), and have proven their value for light as well as heavy-duty applications. The entire collection is actually equipped with an electrical resistance which is high enough to prevent causing spark discharge and low enough to allow static charges to be diverted in a controlled manner. In addition, the recent expansion of the collection will be able to satisfy the needs of virtually every wearer from now on. The renewed arsenal of ESD safety shoes includes six BS2000 models, including the ladies model ‘Luna ESD’ and the safety sandal ‘Helsinki ESD’. With six Wallstreet models, managers on the work floor have just as large a selection from which to choose. Three new ESD models have been developed within The Natural collection, available in four widths: the guarantee for a perfect fit. The total ESD collection from Bata Industrials comprises fifteen different models in various versions (S1, S2, S3 and O2).
