With the addition of Canis Safety in October 2007, Bata Industrials has now gained a qualified dealer of its safety footwear in the Czech Republic. With this addition, Bata Industrials has completed the circle, considering the fact that the former Czechoslovakia has represented the cradle of the Bata Shoe Organisation, active worldwide, since 1894.
Canis Safety (see also www.canis.cz) is the first dealer organisation in the Czech Republic to sell Bata Industrials’ safety shoes. Based in the country where Bata has been producing fashionable shoes since its inception, with its broad range of personal protection products for the feet, leg, face, hands, arms and hearing, Canis Safety focuses on customers within the mining sector, metal industry, automotive industry and construction.
With some nine stores in Prague, Ostrava, Liberec, Olomouc, Brno, Jablonec nad Nisou, Petřvald, Jihlava and Ústí nad Labem, the organisation covers the entire Czech Republic. In the near future, the company will add two new branches in Plzen and Ceske Budejovice. In addition, Canis Safety also already has a store in the Slovakian city of Koŝice. It will soon increase its presence in this country even further with the opening of a shop in Bratislava.

Businesses Canis Safety does not supply its personal protection products directly to the end user, but only does direct business with the trade in the Czech Republic. This occurs primarily in the shops which are part of the nine Czech branches. Additionally, the organisation employs representatives that visit the larger companies on a regular basis. Canis Safety also collaborates with a number of carefully chosen distributors.
Models Bata Industrials has recently kicked off the brand new dealer agreement with the placement of displays and other items in Canis Safety's three largest stores (Prague, Ostrava and Liberec). In the beginning, the following models will be available at all of Canis Safety's stores: Jano and Malenka (The Natural collection), Ran, Nicor, Asar, Hervor and Skadi (Spirit collection) and ladies models Lena and Erica (BS2000 collection). According to the plans, the range will eventually be expanded to include more collections and models. |
