Bata Industrials has launched a new innovative sock line. This collection supports and reinforces the comfort and safety of wearing Bata shoes. When they wear the right shoe combined with the right sock and inlay sole, employees will tire less easily and thus remain longer fit. And this reduces the chance of accidents on the work floor. With the introduction of this unique sock collection, Bata Industrials takes the next step in improving safety and health on the work floor.

The sock collection consists of Thermo and Cool models, each featuring its own composition. Years of research went into these unique lines, including tests them among people working in the greatest variety of conditions. The personal preferences for sock length and thickness were also mapped out. Each model has its own unique mix of materials and special zones, which have been proven to save the wearer energy, thus increasing the level of safety at work. Advanced inlay soles are also part of the new collection.

Fit is safe
Managing Director Harm Daems of Bata Industrials emphasises the safety aspect of the new sock line: “We do everything we can to continuously improve the comfort and safety of our shoes. Our high-quality sock collection optimises these aspects. Safety has everything to do with protection, but also comfort and feeling fit. It is thus only logical that we now also offer a broad range of comfort-increasing socks and inlay soles that support and reinforce the qualities of all of our safety shoes. The strength of the new Bata Energy System lies in this synergy. This is what keeps employees fit and energetic.”

Perfect fit
For an optimal anatomic fit, some of the models in the sock collection consist of a left and right sock. The use of elastane ensures a good fit around the foot and leg. The socks are shrink-proof and have no tangible seams. In addition, the soft terrycloth ensures that wearers cannot feel the steel toecap of their shoes.

Unique climate management
The new socks and inlay soles reinforce the moisture-wicking and ventilating features of the Bata shoes. The Thermo socks are manufactured using a high percentage of pure lambswool. This natural material not only keeps the wearer’s feet warm, but also absorbs moisture and removes it quickly again. The Cool collection is made from yarns with Pro-Cool, the renewed Pro-Guards, a synthetic fibre that ensures that feet stay cool and dry. Additionally, all of the socks are also equipped with ventilation channels at strategic locations. The inlay soles also guarantee an optimum air circulation thanks to the Air Flow. The leather top layer of inlay sole Superior Fit absorbs moisture easily. Special LiquiCell gel pads in this sole reduce friction between foot and sole, keeping the temperature in the shoe noticeably lower.

Optimal support
A slim Arch Support zone in the sock provides support to the arches and ensures a more even pressure distribution. This reduces that tired, burning feeling in feet. The zones in the sock at the leg and ankle also provide support and optimise the circulation of the blood. In addition to the socks, the inlay soles are also anatomically formed and equipped with the Arch Support zone.

Protective shock absorption
Most of the models in the new collection of socks and inlay soles are equipped with the soft Shock Absorption zones in the heel, sole and toe. In combination with Bata shoes, these shock absorbing zones reduce the burden on ankles, knees, hips and back.
