News > Bata Industrials makes mark on the safety world
During the recent Expoprotection fair in Paris - the most important exhibition in the field of risk management in the South of Europe - Bata Industrials was able to give a successful account of itself in a diversity of areas. From 4 to 7 November, the Parc d’expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte played host to 26,000 visitors who were able to witness the presentations of around 950 exhibitors, including Bata Industrials.

Once again, Bata Industrials made its mark on the safety world. In the ‘Health & Safety at Work’ category, various new collections and solutions were presented, on a sector-by-sector basis, to the many inquisitive visitors. The stand was crowded with representatives from the construction, industry, logistics and electronics industries. Many visitors showed a particular interest in the new Traxx safety footwear with its unique, patented Boa lacing system. One of these models, Traxx 212, occupied a prominent place in the specially designed, centrally-located Innovation zone, where visitors could gaze in admiration at the latest products and services on display there. One of the most popular activities was for visitors to try out the click system for themselves. Their experiences with the system led to a spate of information enquiries about the footwear and requests to see other models equipped with the Boa lacing system.

ESD range
Another focus of attention from this rush of visitors was the ESD (Electro Static Discharge) models, which were presented on a specially constructed ‘Electronics Industry’ wall. This range of models has been recently expanded with ten new models, so that the overall ESD range at Bata Industrials now consists of no fewer than fifteen models. A number of these form part of The Natural collection, with models available in various widths. Demand for this specific Bata Industrials solution was likewise large.

New contacts

The quality of visitors, from France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Tunisia, Israel and other countries, was high. The eye-catching presentation brought about many new contacts.
In this context, the cooperative ventures agreed on with dealer PDS International (Singapore) and Bulgarian distributor, Olymp Safety, are more than worthy of a mention.

VIP visit
Bata Industrials received no less a guest in Paris than Thomas G. Bata, Chairman of the Bata Shoe Organisation, who had taken the time to witness the Bata Industrials presentation at first hand. During his visit, he was able to make acquaintance with various new dealers and he also had an opportunity to talk to a number of customers.

BBB meeting
During the biennial trade fair, Bata Industrials also took the opportunity to organise the so-called Bata Branded Business meeting, along with the other internationally active Bata Industrials businesses. In order to help further worldwide cooperation between these organisations, Clinton Soutter (South Africa), Luis Pinto (Far East) and Owen Begg (Australia) were also present in the French capital.
