News > Bata Industrials presents World Cup shoe and sock
From 9 June to 9 July, the 18th edition of the football World Cup will be taking place in Germany. 32 countries will be taking part in the tournament, including the Dutch national team, and twelve cities will play host to this highly prestigious event. In the shape of a special World Cup shoe and matching sock, Bata Industrials will be making its own colourful contribution to this global event. Bata Industrials hopes that this orange ‘one-two’ will inspire the Dutch team and their travelling supporters to go on and achieve great things.

Colourful comfort
The shoes, designed by Hans Boons, incorporate the inscription, ‘World Cup 2006 Germany’, and in every respect they are real eye-catchers. The shoe model has been designed on the last of the BS2000, the safety shoe that combines optimum comfort with the outward appearance of a sports shoe. And, just like the BS2000, the shoe, designed with red, white and blue trimmings, incorporates various ingenious techniques and features that facilitate walking enjoyment. It is fitted with a dual density PU anti-slip sole and the actively breathable and moisture wicking Bata Cool Comfort-lining, which brings about perfect climate control in the shoe. Moreover, the Easy Rolling System ensures a natural rolling of the foot, increasing comfort and energy efficiencies. The built-in shock absorber, better known as the Tunnelsystem, is easy on the joints, keeps the user upright and guarantees perfect stability. The high quality nubuck uppers complete the finishing touch to these shoes, available in sizes 40-46.

Matching sock

Fully in keeping with the tasteful and eye-catching design of the shoe, Bata Industrials also supplies a matching World Cup sock. The orange sock with red, white and blue accents replicates the style of all other Bata Industrials safety socks. The combination of Pro-Guards and wool ensure perfect moisture wicking and optimum comfort.
