During the Arbeitsschutz aktuell 2008, held from the 8th to the 10th of October in the Hamburg Exhibition Centre, Bata Industrials was once again a hit in the world of Personal Protection Equipment. Held every two years, this event targeting the industry for safety and health at work drew some 11,000 visitors. Many of these visitors stopped by the beautifully decorated Bata Industrials stand where they learned more about the four different solution-oriented safety shoe concepts targeting individual industry sectors.

Bata Industrials looks back on its participation in the Germany trade exhibition with a satisfied feeling. The customer-oriented presentation of the shoe concepts was particularly well-received by the many visitors, including several key accounts. This presentation provided every visitor with clear, instant insight into those products which are interesting for his or her sector or work field. It was therefore no surprise that its participation in the exhibition generated many new and promising contacts for Bata Industrials.

ESD
There was a lot of demand for ESD footwear, which provides protection from electrostatic discharge. Thanks to the recent expansion of the number of models, distributed across different collections (an increase from five to seventeen), Bata Industrials is now very well-equipped to satisfy the needs of every wearer looking for an ESD shoe.

Bata-adapt
Bata-adapt, the safety shoe concept designed especially for the German market which adapts to the wearer’s foot, also attracted the attention it deserves. Certainly now that the German law requires that adapted safety shoes (including sole elevation and a different insole) must satisfy certain certification requirements, Bata-adapt represents a high-quality shoe concept that complies with the currently valid certification standards.

Traxx featuring Boa
The Traxx safety shoes with the unique and patented Boa lacing system also met with extremely positive reactions at the event. This was not only due to the handy click system, an innovative feature in the safety shoe field, but also thanks to the shoe’s trendy and distinctive look. The slogan ‘The right click’ was therefore also applicable in more ways than one.

Wallstreet
The six new models from the Wallstreet collection also elicited just as many approving looks and responses from the visitors. The ‘Brooklyn’ model in particular attracted a lot of attention.

‘Test the Best’
And finally, an outright eye-catcher at the stand was a ‘Test the Best’ wall where a great variety of safety shoes from different collections were displayed in the sizes 40 through 46 For visitors, this was the ultimate opportunity to get to know the many features, techniques and designs that Bata Industrials has to offer safety shoe wearers. And they took quick advantage of this opportunity.
