The Bow and Spear The shoe types worn during Dakar, Bow and Spear, originate from the Mammoet Footwear line, developed by Mammoet in cooperation with Bata Industrials, a company that sets the trend in the field of functional footwear. Both models are equipped with the Mammoet Airsystem plus uppers made from ventilated textile to keep feet dry even during extreme weather conditions. Finally, Bow and Spear are equipped with a specially developed antislip sole. This sole provides the wearer with extra grip on wet as well as dry surfaces. In addition to the development of the Mammoet Airsystem, Mammoet also has developed a Mammoet Aquasystem. The Mammoet Aquasystem is extremely water resistant to keep feet warm and dry in wet and cold environments.
