Martijn Mathot new Managing Director Bata Industrials

The Bata Shoe Organization, lead by Alexis Nasard (CEO), has appointed Martijn Mathot as the Managing Director of Bata Industrials per December 1st of 2016.


Martijn Mathot (1970) is an experienced manager and has been in charge at Robert Bosch, Chubb Fire & Security and a joint venture of Mitsubishi and Caterpillar. Martijn completed his degree in Business Economics at Brunel University in London and followed an Executive Program at the Darden Business School of West Virginia.

In his first month Martijn Mathot dedicated his time in getting acquainted with the company and making an analysis of what is needed to make Bata Industrials an even stronger brand. In his vision the customer will take a central position:

A large part of our safety shoes are developed and produced in Best in Noord-Brabant. Our investments in robotics, Research & Development and advanced technologies are bearing fruit. Founded in the Czech Republic in 1894, Bata was one of the first manufacturers to sell its products all over the world.
