Minimizing our carbon footprint is a shared goal. It’s not just about meeting expectations, but more about our commitment to a greener future for generations to come. With the new collection, we’ve integrated high-quality sustainable materials to reduce our environmental impact in the long run. Taking responsibility runs deep in our DNA, and we take pride in leading the charge as sustainability pioneers in the market.

Our bio-based polyurethane (PU), utilized in both midsoles and outsoles, is specially created for us. Crafted from corn, sugar cane, and castor beans, this innovative PU maintains the same flexibility, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance you’ve come to expect from Bata’s safety shoes. But way more sustainable. The PU used in the collection consists of 20% renewable raw materials, measured in accordance with DIN EN 16640

But that’s not all—this bio-based PU features an impressive rebound capability, enhancing bounce back by 20%, compared to the previous collection! This translates to increased comfort, superior shock absorption, and greater energy return. The Bata Enduro not only reduces your carbon footprint, but it also combats fatigue effectively.

The days of multiple colors in the Enduro line are gone. With the new Bata Enduro, our focus is on energy efficiency and sustainability. That’s why we’ve opted for a sleek, all-black rubber outsole—stripped of any unnecessary frills. The PWR sole also boasts a brand-new rubber formula. This sustainable blend with 70% recycled rubber and 20% bio-based material prioritizes durability while maintaining standard safety shoe specifications and current performance levels. In fact, the benefits are twofold: not only is the sole lighter (by a remarkable 67 grams per sole!), but it also undergoes more efficient vulcanization. This translates to fewer production errors and a more sustainable manufacturing process. Plus: we use less rubber overall!

We’ve taken Bata Enduro’s durability a step further to not just meet your diverse needs but also to contribute to a greener future. Our updated soles in the ACT (PU/PU) and PWR (PU/rubber) models offer innovative profiles for more grip, while also strengthening durability with bio-based PU and recycled rubber content. Additionally, our uppers feature high-quality full-grain and oiled pull-up leather for protection, also support sustainable manufacturing via the Leather Working Group. Our laces chosen on strength are made of 100% rPET, while our insoles, made with 85% GRS recycled polyurethane foam, provide comfort and support. The Bata Cool Comfort®+ lining, composed of 65% GRS recycled post-consumer polyester, maintains moisture-absorbing and antibacterial properties for dry, odor-free feet.
